Would you bake a lot? If so, you'll get your money's worth out of it. I feel like they last forever and ever - at least, I'm still using my Grandma's old mixer stand. Obviously, it's not as nice as the new ones, but my point is that if you buy it and you use it for the next ten or twenty years, you're good. And it'll be way more expensive ten years from now. :)
