Oh, hey, I think I have the same mixer. Mine is from sometime in the late 1950s or early 1960s. Still works!

This is funny, because my family's portable mixer was a wedding present...56 years ago. It's still going strong!

I think mine is a Sunbeam (I'd have to go downstairs and look, and I'm too lazy at the moment). While it lacks the super-fancy features of the new ones, let's be honest - the most dramatic thing I'm going to do is whip egg whites and it can handle that. Plus, it has metal bowls, which is a plus. I like those better than the glass ones. It was probably a beauty back in the day, but as long as it keeps mixing, I'm not buying a new one. :)

Ours is a Sunbeam too! It didn't come with bowls, and the exterior has a small crack from when somebody dropped it, but after 56 years it still does a great job when we make avgolemono soup.
