SPOILERS (including casting for later epis)

I am SO sick of the Glenn stuff. I don't give two shits about him. He is probably alive and they are going to have some stupid way he survived. And if he is dead, I have become too resentful to care about his death/zombie scene.

But, I am super excited about Jeffry Dean Morgan being cast as Negan. I love JDM. Though, I am a little annoyed that TWD keeps casting hot guys as bad guys. Stop that!

I think Jesus saved Glenn and I'm looking forward to seeing that happen. I love Glenn and I was pretty damn upset when his death scene happened. Saw Maggie's pregnancy a mile away. Was super excited about the Denise/Tara kiss but was pretty "nooooo" about the Rick/Jessie kiss. I'm just having a lot of trouble liking her!

Also Jeffry Dean Morgan being cast as Negan is pretty great. That dude seems to be great at playing assholes.

For reference.

Elementary or NCIS NO

(Anonymous) 2015-11-11 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
I'm really curious about Sherlock's dad. He's listed in the show's opening (I don't remember if Kitty was too) so he's clearly going to be a big part of the show, and I'm excited for that. He's not my favorite actor though. I like that there are consequences for Sherlock for what happened last season, and I like how they're handling that. So, far a strong opening.

For NCIS NO, I really like the new cast members. The dialogue is cringe-worthy at times but I really like the chemistry of the cast. I like the subplots they've been developing for each character this year. I was REALLY happy with the last episode. SPOILER: I thought for sure that they would pull a last-minute save and after everything that heart had been through, I just couldn't suspend my disbelief for that. But it ended in a realistic way, and I was really happy about that. Anyone else watching this?

Elementary: Ah, I like John Noble, though much more from Fringe than Sleepy Hollow. I thought it was the best first episode for this season of all of my returning shows (and I watch a lot). I'm interested to see where it leads, but I don't want them to leave Bell and Gregson behind.

NCIS:NO: I really like Percy and I'm glad Patton has become a full cast member. I was shocked by what happened in the last episode. I thought it was going to be a last-minute save, too. I think, a little more realistically, they wouldn't have attempted a transplant with a heart that had been down so long and he would've lasted a few weeks longer and been on the waiting list, but no matching heart would've come in. However, for wrapping it up in its own episode, this was much more realistic than NCIS saving the day, the heart, and the kid, and I was okay with that.

Fargo S2

Is anyone enjoying this season as much as I am? I was wary because it seems like Season 2 is almost never as good as Season 1.

But so far it has been just as engaging and nerve-wracking. The cast is so fantastic. The different story lines are great. I just...AGH!

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

(Anonymous) 2015-11-11 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
I'm enjoying this season, but is it just me or are they really underplaying Amy and Jake's relationship? On one hand, I'm glad they're steering away from it suddenly being the Jake and Amy show, but on the other hand, they're supposed to be a couple.

It does feel like they haven't really explored it enough atm, but at the same time I'm glad it's not taken over the show as well, idk maybe they're trying to find the right balance? I'm still enjoying watching either way so it's not affecting my ability to watch the show.

Yeah, I was wondering at that. Still, I'm glad it's not overtaking the whole show.
The Halloween episode was amazing, though. I knew it was going to be Amy, but damn.

That is fine with me, because, Jake and Amy are dogshit and Amy should break up with him and get with Rosa

Yes, because we need to reinforce the "dyke cop" stereotype. That will be helpful and socially constructive. [/sarcasm in case it wasn't clear]

Do you even hear yourself?

Jessica Jones

Anyone else thinking of watching? Initial reactions have been positive, but I've heard the comic went to some really dark places, so I'm a little worried it might be more than I can handle. Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3UYWK2jeX0

I'm going to give it a shot. I enjoyed Daredevil a lot so I'm more than happy to see what they do with this one.

I'm not familiar with her comics though, aside from knowing who she is, so it'll all be new to me(though I know that there is very messed up subject matter in them so I am not expecting happy fun-times).

I will be watching. I'm so excited. But then again, I like things that go to dark spaces. The darker the better for me. I'm actually really hoping they don't shy away from the dark spaces, particularly the sexual abuse stuff which I'm afraid they will skip over to try to appeal to a broader audience.

But either way I will watch because the characters look really interesting and because this hits a lot of buttons for me. I was kind of meh on Daredevil, but this seems much more my style.

They've stated that the show won't explicitly depict rape, which makes it sound like rape will still be discussed, just offscreen.

I'm going to watch it ASAP! I've got it marked on my calendar, lol.

I'm super excited because I LOVED Daredevil, and though the subject matter looks like it's going to be tough, I think Marvel will probably handle it in a sensitive way. As long as they do that I'll be happy.

The trailer was really engaging and it looks like the casting is fantastic, so I welcome it. I don't need things to be dark and depressing all the time, but I liked the atmosphere of Daredevil (it worked for that show; wouldn't work for every show, but def did that one) and expect something similar. If JJ manages to be just as solid then I'll love it.

However, yea...if you have certain triggers it might be best to wait until the show is out and wait to see what the reaction is; maybe read some spoiler filled reviews so you know what you're getting into.

Dark Matter

Catching up with this now that it's on Netflix.

Criminals from the future have androids, starships, teleportation, and FTL internet, but they still chose fucking dumb passwords that a script kiddie can crack by scraping public records.

Scream Queens. The show I watch while pretending to be a normal human bean and not a disgusting weeaboo. I'm enjoying it in all it's glorious stupidity, but I also wonder if Ryan Murphy will know how to end the series, or if we'll be getting a second season just because.

Also it made me crave for an actual horror movie or trilogy where the MC is a complete horrible person and everyone and their grandma has an actual reason for wanting to kill her. I also hope the baby turns out to be either Chanel or Reporter Guy (and I want reporter guy to be one of the Red Devils) just for the complete wtfery of it.

Gundam IBO... I'm... not very convinced with the love triangle plot or whatever the fuck is happening. I think it's a huge disservice to both Kudelia and Atra and hell, even Mika who is in the middle of it. I hope it fades to the background where no one care about it. Also I'm a bit butthurt about the lack of Mika and Orga interaction (and Orga focus in general) because I find him stupidly charming, and his relationship with Mika and what we got from last episode was really interesting.

Haikyuu!! manga is still in Namek. Tsukki is dead. Tendou is an ass but a charming ass. Animewise we're getting finally QUALITY next episode and I'm buttblasted about it.

One Punch Man is great but I'm dreading the idea of tumblr getting their sticky hands on it. I need to catch up with the manga.

I have such mixed feelings about One Punch Man. I binged the manga when I first discovered it, and really liked it, though now the anime is exciting me a bit less (also the opening song is horrible).
I think it's interesting how it simultaneously plays on superhero/shounen tropes, while fulfilling those same tropes? Saitama is really a genre-breaker that's stuck into a standard shounen. I can't help but feel sometimes that the series could push its ideas further.
