(Anonymous) 2015-11-11 12:44 am (UTC)(link)What would you want then? Or just to be left alone?
Re: So this happened
(Anonymous) 2015-11-11 12:57 am (UTC)(link)If you have the werewithal to actually sit down near me and have a chat, give that a try. If I want to talk to you, I'll let you know. If you have the funds to pick up a couple cups of coffee or soda or bottles of water and want to offer me one and drink with me, that's cool, too.
Basically, offer me your time and your compassion. See me as a person, not someone who can help "save." If all you can do is the latter, keep on moving. Drop a quarter if you feel you have to do something.

(Anonymous) 2015-11-11 03:05 pm (UTC)(link)It's kind of sad people today can't show ANY kind of concern for another human being and not have it questioned to death or labeled as ugly and insincere.
Yes, I know there are some people with hero complexes, but in my experience, those are the kinds of people who deliberately do charitable things in the public eye because doing them anonymously wouldn't earn them praise. But this is different from someone who witnesses another person's suffering and is genuinely concerned for that person's well-being.
