I can't speak for the OP, but I'm the person who made the Gaster secret last week; I tend to really enjoy characters that have a certain vagueness to them, some hooks and hints about who they are and what they're like, but with most things left to interpretation. While fleshed out characters are nice, it's the vague ones characters that make my imagination run wild! I love thinking of all the different possibilities for their lives, backgrounds and little details about them. That's why most of my favourite characters tend to be side or really minor ones.

Gaster is a really fascinating character, because all you have to go from is little hints and hooks, presented in a wonderfully mysterious and creepypasta-esque way. There's a lot to wonder and speculate about! His weird font thing is really cool, as well. He's also a scientist, and I just have a huge soft spot for scientist characters. . .
