OP: Right, that's exactly my issue with the crazy fans. They're making it difficult for other people to like the character or take fans seriously.

But in fairness I don't think any group of fans is possessed of "better" people. I think there's more opportunity for Solasmancers to unleash their crazy because of the canon-relevance to the plot his character has, but there's a part of every group that reduces their character to their romance.

The difference being is that since Solas (and Alistair) is tied to the main plot of the game, and the romance plays into that, the people that romance him have an excellent way of making it all about the romance.

If any of the other romances had that level of connection, we'd see similar attitudes from those fans.
