Yeah, activism /is/ tiring work, but it's not helping anyone if you're using it to yell at the ignorant. People are more willing to listen when you talk to them on the same level and understand a little where they're coming from.

You missed the latter part. Nine times out of then, they aren't ignorant. They just don't care.

And I'm sorry, but I can't "understand a little where they're coming from" when it's "sorry your identity is invalid."

Except in my experience they're not going to listen anyway. They've made up their mind, they have most likely heard it all, and they still don't care. To them XY or XX matters more than anything.
