I can see where AYRT is going with this. There's plenty of absolute drivel produced by women (as well as guys, obviously). Buying something shitty just because a woman made it is laughable.

Now if you want to support GOOD female creators? Awesome! We need more people actually paying for women's work. But if your only criteria is "a girl did it" I should start a Patreon immediately, I have MS-Paint and enough opinions for at least $5 a month and your standards are low.

Marjorie Liu is a good writer. I don't know the artist, but judging from the picture the OP used, I'd say she is good too. So I don't think it is a bad thing to want to support this work just because of the two of them being involved. Not that I would consider it "noble" exactly, but I would consider it a good thing.
