Well it doesn't stand straight up on end lol, but it's thick and dark and stiff in a way that could probably easily be gelled into spikes...

Maybe I could do the cosplay anyway some day. I could probably ask around for someone to show me some relevant scenes or episodes so I know the gist of who I'm impersonating...
