mild self-harm tw

I have OCD and over the years I've developed a number of compulsions to stop myself when my thoughts start looping, including: slapping myself, snapping my teeth, meowing, screaming, jerking my head to the side, hitting something, snapping my fingers, fidgeting.

Have you been evaluated for Tourette's Syndrome? I ask because not only do those sound like Tourette's tics, but Tourette's and OCD are neurologically related.

Kindaish? We couldn't determine whether they were tics or compulsions. Hell the two specialists I consulted couldn't agree on whether I was a) a person with OCD who is unusally good at managing their compulsions or b) a neurotypical, mental disorder-free person who deals unusually badly with anxiety.
