I'm only half way through the first season, so I haven't delved into fandom yet, but I can see how that would be annoying. But I did see it coming the second he talked her through the thing at the henge. Oh my god, he was a nice guy to a woman in need, so obviously it must be shipped! Eve and Flynn could be fun, though.

Me, I'm much more fascinated watching Christian Kane try to act like he has no fighting experience beyond bar brawls. It's making his movements so jerky when he tries to control what for him is probably muscle memory at this point.
