Char is this guy (ttp://sagiarsyad.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/snapshot20071212232330.jpg") from the original Gundam series, and there tends to be some incarnation of a Char-like character who is obviously an antagonist (for GW, Zechs is the Char character, and I don't know what the character is for that series, sometimes they wear a mask, and sometimes they don't)

HOT, I don't see anything bad with Graham being a Char, he's hot, blonde and one of the antagonists, he's pretty cool, who cares if he gets compared to Zechs? not like it's a bad thing.

I can't believe I've never watched the original Gundam, this must be remedied.

Not to spread piracy, but if you're interested in watching 0079, I've got links to megauploads of the three movies. They're split into two or three parts each, so it'll take a few days to be able to get them all, but if you'd like, I can post them here.

I'd recommend watching the movie version of 0079, if you're interested in watching it, because the series' animation is just plain QUALITY. A lot of fans find the pacing of the movies better, since it cuts out the unnecessary stuff without getting rid of anything necessary.

As far as Graham being a char-clone, I don't really see how it's bad, either. I mean, it's not like most of the gundam serieses don't have a character who the fans constantly compare to Char, anyways. And it's not like Graham isn't original enough and interesting enough on his own to be an awesome character, similarities to Char or not.

I'd never even thought of Graham in terms of him being a clone of anyone, granted the Gundam series always use certain elements in common, but Graham is spunky and has enough of an interesting personality to be amazing in his own right.

It's fandom that insists in trying to make him fit into a mold.

The animation is pretty dated, but it's a classic. And Amuro will always get points in my book for being one of the few (maybe only) Gundam protagonists to read the manual. xD

Like I said, unfortunately, they might take a few days to download because MU only lets you download so much a day.

Yeah, that's how I feel. I'm kind of glad that it seems to me that as 00 goes on, I see more and more fans trying to break away from the comparisons to the other Gundam serieses (I remember a lot of Wing comparisons especially at first).
