Bangel is worse, at least they constantly acknowledged all the way through the Spuffy that it was unhealthy. They never really gave up on the starcrossed lover schtick in Bangel. Although at least they eventually admitted that Buffy had a necro-fetish.

Yeah, this. Buffy/Spike was problematic and unhealthy, but, it was at least acknowledged as fucked up as hell and couldn't end well.

Very true, although in some ways less so because Buffy was an adult at the time and went into the thing knowing what she was getting in to.
