Sad video game music? Hahaha, The Last of Us. (Though in this case, the opening theme is actually probably one of the least depressing bits... which is ironic, considering the scene it follows.)

Still, the soundtrack is one of my favorites; it's so damn rousing and at times deeply sorrowful but always beautiful!

I can't think of any, tbh. I know that the closing of Free! in S2 was painful considering Haru's story; there were a couple times it was like emotional whiplash, finishing the episode and then having to listen to that upbeat song.
