Re: Therapy question

Whatever you do, don't stop taking that drug cold turkey. I take escitalopram and I made the mistake of going off of it on my own. There's a chance you can backtrack with your depression if you do the cold turkey thing.

You should ask your therapist if he is angry at you, and talk about it at your next appointment. It might have been that he was having a lousy day and your perception was that you were the cause. Don't stop going, though. Having someone to talk to while you're getting used to the meds is key to seeing if it works.

I realize this is pretty late, but assuming OP is an adult (a fairly safe assumption) don't ask someone "Are you mad at me?" At best, it will make you sound like a needy child. But it's more likely that people will realize you know damn well you screwed up and are now trying to passive aggressively wiggle out of a real apology by pressuring the other person to deny that they're upset.

OP knows they missed an appointment for a rather lame reason. OP ought to know this isn't really acceptable and warrants a sincere apology on their part. So just skip the "u mad bro" and apologize like a mature person.

"I'm sorry, that was inconsiderate of me to have missed the appointment. I will do better."
