Rick and Evelyn O'Connell in The Mummy Returns.

The badass guy and nerdy girl who were thrown together by adventure in the first movie GOT MARRIED. And HAD A CHILD. And ARE STILL HAVING ADVENTURES. Name other sequels you've seen that in. Please.

But what gets me every time is what Rick says to Evey when they're both scared to death about their son being kidnapped by the Big Bad: "He'll be okay. He's smarter than you. He's tougher than me."
