Re: Therapy question

This is a late response, but have you thought about going to see a general practitioner to get your prescription? I'm on escitalopram as well, my therapist recommended it and I went to the health center at my college cause I was a student and poor and seeing a doctor there was way cheaper. Since then I've just gone to my GP and it's worked out just fine. I wouldn't just see a GP for psychiatric meds but since you're also in therapy, you do have a mental health specialist who can monitor you, and you've already been diagnosed and prescribed for a specific medication. If escitalopram doesn't work out, maybe go back to the psychiatrist to adjust it or ask your therapist what they recommend, but I don't really get the point of seeing a psychiatrist just for refills tbh. Shit's expensive.
