Anything by Masota Hisa has some really good use of black and white along with paneling stuff. Can't say I've seen another artist quite like him.

Kikimimi Zukan by Miyata Kouji is an interesting read too since the artist has a background in music too and mixes them together in interestingly. The whole manga's about music so it works well. Shame he recently passed away so young.

Satoshi Kon's art is a treat too. Dude could have been a manga legend had he not moved to animation.

Hakumei to Mikochi has some very pleasant backgrounds.

Dungeon Meshi is good. Artist's really good at creatures too.
