Tokyo Ghoul's art is actually pretty beautiful. There's some great use of paneling and layout, great contrasts with shading, and the pain is drawn incredibly viscerally. (shame the story itself is a bit of a mess)

I always really liked the art in Fullmetal Alchemist. It's simple, but very clear and expressive to me. And I love the way Arakawa draws fight scenes, they're great and dynamic.

Alex Ross, who's done work for both DC and Marvel - I read both Marvels and Kingdom Come is freaking amazing. Stunning composition, stunning painting, beautiful use of color. Almost every single frame could be framed and hung on a wall. Beautiful.
