And this is a secret why?

(Anonymous) 2015-11-19 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
Ummmm...if you haven't figured out that a lot of secrets here are just people who want to express their happiness with a fictional work they love, not embarrassing or controversial things, you must be really oblivious.

Seriously, what's your problem? This is hardly the first secret of its ilk that has been posted in the past week, let alone the past several years.

I mean it's not really something to be embarrassed about! And most secrets do have *some* reason for it to be said with caution.

I have no issue with it being posted, I just genuinely don't see why OP wouldn't say that in just normal conversation.

Even if OP is younger and it's seen as a bit cheesy, Star trek still has that cult status that makes it sort of cool.

nayrt - Yeah, but... people are embarrassed by different things? Maybe there's something the OP would readily admit in public that you would prefer to keep private. Just because you don't find it embarrassing doesn't mean nobody else does.

go for it

I'm happy you found something you enjoy so much, OP! Use them - what else are you going to use them for? (And Star Trek TNG is a great addition to one's life, IMO.)

Definitely go for it. Sometimes it's great to get into older shows. You also don't have to wait for new episodes, or worry about cancellation :)

p.s. Picard is best captain

(Anonymous) 2015-11-19 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
Agreed. DS9 is my favorite Trek, but Picard will always be my captain.

yes he is. I met Patrick Stewart at one of the conventions and he was super charming and funny!

I'd seen a lot of episodes but started a proper viewing of the whole series in order about a year ago. I'm on season 7 and I'll be sad when I'm done.

everything used to be on startrek.com to watch, so if you haven't already hulu-ed, check there first. That's where I was watching DS9 before the family got netflix
litalex: Jefferson from John Adams, lounging around (LOL!Jefferson)

I love TNG as well, but don't let it be a secret, shout it out at the top of your lungs!
