I have no idea how many people here even watch this show, but I'll put it in the 2nd comment just in case...

So apparently Sheldon will be having sex this season. As far as I can tell, most fans are apparently excited about it, but I'm not quite sure what to think about it. I sort of liked the idea of a character that wasn't interested in sex...I guess it was going to happen eventually, but I kind of wish it didn't HAVE to.

Ooh, I hadn't heard of this. Didn't the Shamy hit a reef? Who's he gonna do it with?

Amy, they get back together.

Welp, my somewhat excitement over that show just now died.

I had been slightly happy that they had broken up, cause that pair fucking sucked. But I stopped watching a while back because Amy and the sexism in the show finally just tipped everything for me. And the constant UGH that was/is Leonard/Penny.

Now they are getting back together (Amy/Sheldon) and I just...that's it. This show is dead to me.

Well, that's disappointing. I liked their relationship in the beginning, but it went south hard and I was so glad when they broke up. Sheldon was such a dick to her. I can't imagine that they'll get back together in a satisfying way. Dunno how they're gonna handle the coitus, but from the way the season's been going, I expect it to be awful.

nayrt - She does push his boundaries, but that doesn't excuse him being a dick to her. I'd say they're dicks to each other, tbh.

I think they were both kinda dicks to each other, but I always felt like Amy was putting more into the relationship than Sheldon. Like, she would be proud of his accomplishments, but he'd belittle hers. Just stuff like that. They should've broken up when Amy realized she wanted a more physical relationship, though I think Sheldon said at one point that it wasn't out of the question, just not something he was ready for then and there. They had some cute moments, but many that made me uncomfortable.

I stopped watching, but that is disappointing news. I liked that he didn't care, and that in the start it wasn't even a plot point. Such fondness for the start of his and Amy's relationship, but they ruined that pretty quickly. I like Amy's character but ugh at their relationship.

Yeah, I liked the beginning, too. She didn't care, either, so it wasn't even an issue, which I thought was cool because it was completely different than any other relationship on TV.

I'm indifferent to this news. I never read Sheldon as asexual, and I feel they've been evolving him over the years to where it would be believable that at some point he would try sex. Whether he likes it or not is another matter. I also don't think Amy's been unreasonable. I don't think she's forced him to do something he found objectionable. I think if Sheldon really didn't want to kiss or hug her, he would end the relationship. She does push him but I feel that he lets her. There's give and take in any relationship and he's determined that this is something he can give on without it being a deal-breaker.

I am actually more annoyed with his treatment of Amy and his refusal to be called out on his shit and how the show always makes excuses for him. I'm really glad they broke up. I would like to see them back together but I want Sheldon to actually LEARN something for once. I want him to learn what other people's feelings are and how he's hurting them. I want him to put Amy first for once. If they can't do that, then I hope she gets a new boyfriend. She deserves one.

That show has not been worth watching since Season 2-ish. All the canon ships are abusive and vile.
