You know I've been turning this over in my head and I think it's because he reminds me of my brother. My brother is one of those types where everything comes easy. Where he can flash a dimple and the world falls to his feet. He's also a completely self-centered asshole. He promises the world and never delivers. He's inconsiderate and self-absorbed.

I'm sure Aiden is a lovely person in real life but it fucking irritated me in the Hobbit how he would have that dimpled smile that just knew all the girls would turn to jelly for him without his having to actually do something worthwhile for attention. It doesn't help that I have had very negative reactions to some of his interviews about the Hobbit and his complete lack of understanding with regards to dwarves and Tolkien and Middle-earth in general.

As I said, it's irrational. Maybe it's none of those things and he just has a punchable face. *shrug*
