I agree partly and would say it depends on the situation. Sometimes, loneliness ISN'T your fault, though it's more likely to be your fault if it's long-term. Sometimes when people say they're lonely they really are; maybe they are physically isolated or just had a bad breakup or are feeling isolated bc of depression or all the people close to them are going through something/extra busy. However, if they're all "oh I'm so lonely because all those frigid bitches out there won't date me" then yeah I agree with you.

Well, even then, their loneliness is real and their pain is real. They are approaching that pain in a way that is bad and unhealthy and shitty, but their pain is still real.

I agree, but I also don't blame people for being annoyed at entitled Nice Guy behavior. Them feeling bad doesn't mean they're entitled to women fixing it or acting sympathetic or whatever else they want us to do to feel better. That really is a situation where they need to start with introspection.

Oh, no, absolutely. That's not what I was trying to say at all. At a certain point, you have to set your limits, and those people have made themselves assholes and there's only so much you can do.

But I also think it's good to remember that one of the reasons that stuff happens is because of that.
