I made a $1,400 mistake by buying a bed set after getting sucked in by free delivery, a pre-existing line of credit, the idea that "you get what you pay for" and "you'll get used to this type of mattress."

But now it's home, I hate it, and even if I do get used to it, it's just not designed to feel the way I want a mattress to feel. The most infuriating thing is that a different store had a mattress I actually liked for about a third the cost.

In 30 days, I can trade this one in for a same-brand mattress and either pay the difference if it's more or get it back n store credit if it's less, and I'm tryi g not to be defeatist about the idea of finding one I like, but I'm really afraid I'm going to be stuck with something that, if I'm lucky, is adequate. I was actually envisioning ways to just sell this one and go buy the other, but I don't know how to do that without inviting strangers into my home to take it away.

I'm just really mad at me (and the people I took with the idea they'd help me stay clear-headed, but it's not like it's their fault.)

My mistake is summed up in one word: existing.

I guess it's humbling to be reminded that no matter how disappointing my shit seems, somebody always has ot worse. Hope you feel better soon.

Going to college without a financial plan.

Yeah I dropped out after 3 semesters because I couldn't get enough in loans and was too lazy to find a job...

It stings because I did great in school. If I had the means to pay for school I would've graduated for sure. But I was too lazy to find scholarships blah blah blah and now look at me: working poor. At least none of my siblings have degrees either. :|

I hope you can figure out a solution for your mattress problem!

That's rough. I too console myself with the thought that "at least Sis/Bro/Cousin/Parents have never done X either. (And I'm super lazy at paperwork, too.)

Well, I had a scholarship and I did pretty badly in school, so I'm the opposite, I guess. I think Bernie Sanders is right, we should make state universities tuition-free.

Both now >_> It was okay at first but I fucking hate flatpacks with a burning passion and now that hatred is extending to the design as it's not nearly pretty enough to be worth the trouble of sitting down and balancing things with the fucking allen key.

Have a furniture building party. If you provide the right amount of alcohol, you can get your friends to do all sorts of crap for you :D

I predict this turning into one of those situations where the back chair legs are where they need to be and the front are shooting out the top of the chair seat.

That would be too much booze, yes. Use less booze.

That is a good idea but i'd need more flatpacks for people to come over to build, or we'll only have the 3 chairs.

But I don't want anymore flatpacks. It is a circle of hate.

I majored in Communications for my undergrad. Then I got a Masters in Public Administration.

Go on, laugh. I did it to myself. Just don't make the same mistakes I did. Save yourselves.

Don't start trying to keep up with someone who stays awake until 4am+.

Don't start hanging with people who stay awake even longer than him once he's gone offline.

In short, don't stay up until 10 in the morning, you will wake up when it's dark and hate your life.

Yanked a hangnail even though I knew it would hurt.

Staying up way too late and eating way too much.
