Maybe I could borrow the rabbit sled thing. Middle Earth has some hilarious modes of transportation.
PS. Do you have a hannibal rec list floating around somewhere? I wanted to catch up so I could see the armitage bits but I accidentally ended up shipping the big ship (damn it!). Also I have crushes on all the ladies. Gillian Anderson is ageing like a fine wine.

The rabbit sled...that's clever. I feel like it might be kind of fun...and at least slightly dangerous to ride in, but it would probably be easier for ones ass then a horse.
Hannibal/Will are so deliciously fucked up, I swear. I couldn't resist their calling either. (And Armitage was truly magnificent as Dolarhyde, but Gillian almost stole the last season. She is a looker at any age; I think she's actually more attractive these days then she was during X-Files! Caroline Dhavernas is also all kinds of gorgeous. This whole cast is stupidly pretty.)
What kind of rec list did you have in mind, though? I have a couple of fanvid ones, but sadly I haven't done a fanfic rec list yet. If you're interested in the fanvid ones they're here, here and here.
I will rec you a few fics that I have in mind, though! (Just a few, because frankly I'm finding Hannibal fic to be very hit and miss. When it's good...hot damn, but it often isn't. This fandom more than just about any other has a tendency to go WAAAAAAAAAAAY OOC.)

Yes, I have dipped my toe in the fanfic and I must have missed the part in the show where they are both teenage girls. Come on. Hannibal has more dignity than that. Though Will might be likely to pass him a note that said 'are you in love with me? Y/N'. Will does not care for dignity. Or social norms.

On one hand, I do get the appeal of AU fic. Maybe not for every piece of media (for instance, I'm not going to be reading Mass Effect or Dragon Age AU's), but I do understand why people read it; I do too, sometimes.
But why you would want to take something as complex and fucked up as Hannibal and turn it into a high-school AU or set it in a coffee shop is completely lost on me. COMPLETELY. And the massive amounts of OOC fic hurt so bad. Will is not some delicate flower waiting for Hannibal to ravage him, but he's not a complete and total nutter either, who's going to cut people into little pieces just for fun. Finding a balance is important, and it seems like most people can't.
Alana, yes! She was so compelling in S3; I liked her before, but ngl, those suits and her new attitude were working for me. Everyone is so well dressed in this show. Bedelia's last dress? Jesus.

The show is so centred around the characters and their motivations that I think they lose something when you try to make them more normal.
Lol. Delicate flower Will. The only thing fragile about Will is his sanity. I think the fandom forgets he was a cop. Do they just close their eyes when he goes cop mode?
Everything on this show is so pretty. I love the outfits and the hair and the sets. *grabby hands*

That's how I feel, too. I don't really see the point of AU's in this sense because what makes the show and relationships work is the specific set-up and dynamic. It isn't something that could be easily replicated in an AU, and if you wanted something similar...why not just go with canon?

It's so weird, fandom clearly doesn't forget that he's capable of murder, but they seem to forget a lot of other things. (Like how much Will fought against Hannibal even while being drawn to him, and that he's an outdoors man and that he used to be a cop, and cops aren't wilting flowers. He might be a mess at times in S1 because of the horror he has to witness, but he's also sick and unstable, and that kind of thing wouldn't be easy for most ANYONE to look at. By S2 he's manipulative and at times, cold as fuck. (I don't know what else you'd expect from a guy who can empathize with serial killers.)
