Re: Stuff to get off your chest
(Anonymous) 2015-11-24 12:15 am (UTC)(link)Also people write memoirs which are basically the same thing all the time.
Re: Stuff to get off your chest
(Anonymous) 2015-11-24 12:19 am (UTC)(link)Today, I got up and never changed out of my pajamas. I ate leftover pizza for lunch, then went outside and stared at the sky for a bit and then came back inside and had a bowl of cereal. In a few more hours I'll go back to bed and probably do the same thing tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm sitting here, wishing I had some cake but there is no cake in the house.

(Anonymous) 2015-11-24 01:33 am (UTC)(link)Maybe things like that aren't what makes the news but they can still be interesting and meaningful.

(Anonymous) 2015-11-24 12:25 am (UTC)(link)But that's not what you do every single day of your entire life.

(Anonymous) 2015-11-24 05:50 am (UTC)(link)Okay, sometimes I put on pants, but only because I need to go to the store.
Re: Stuff to get off your chest
My granddad (who I sadly never knew) fought in a war, then designed bridges in Asia and then remarried and moved to South America - regardless of blood ties, I'd read the shit out of that.
There's people who were journalists, or worked for doctors without borders, or who were part of civil rights movements, etc etc. who were not famous but had wildly interesting lives.

(Anonymous) 2015-11-24 07:31 am (UTC)(link)Like you're absolutely right, but your examples fall into this category, therefore the original comment wasn't about people like your granddad, etc.
