welp, hello me. I just got really into AUs??? This seemed to largely solve the problem (also followed some aro people on tumblr, since they repost WAAAAAY less shippy stuff of all kinds, including my problem pairings).

See, I have this problem too, but I don't like AUs as a Thing. I'm more in it for THESE characters and THIS context. Like, if Bill is not a crazy dream-demon I just lose about 98% of my interest right there.

Yeah I actually can't stand Fandom Bill like at all, so I tend to hit up most of the more canon-based ones like Monsterfalls or whatever.
