Amazon Prime account sharing question

I have a shared Prime account with my mom, and am contemplating buying her a birthday present through Amazon, but I don't want her to know about it, obviously. Will she be notified of purchases I make or anything? Amazon would be more convenient, but if she can see my purchases, I'll buy it elsewhere.

(Also, if it makes a difference, I have the old type of shared account that was grandfathered in before they switched over to only being able to share with people with the same address.)

According to my mother, who is the primary holder of a Prime account I share with her, she has never gotten any kind of information about my purchases.
