Honestly, if a fandom can hold my interest for more than a couple months I'm impressed.

After a certain amount of time things start to slow down; there isn't much fic being written, there's no new content, I feel like I've reblogged all the gifs, the discussion has died down... It isn't that I lose interest in the material itself, but if there's nothing new to look at or experience then eventually I'm going to find something else to focus on. That's just how I am. *shrugs* If that's how you enjoy fandom, that's okay.

I'm the same with X-Men fandom; I love the films, I ship Charles and Erik hardcore, but I don't think I've ever spent over a couple months following that fandom. (I know for the first film I checked back once in a while to see if old fic had been updated, but this fandom had a TON of good fic that was never completed.)
