The dog (werewolf? whatever) is cute, but I have a weakness for dogs, so...

Actually, the art of the man holding the knife in the secret is pretty damn excellent, but the woman...God, I'd like to erase that visual from my memory.

The man holding the knife in the secret looked heavily referenced imo. Look how detailed and amazing it looks compared to the other images (including the guy in the last panel).

That might be the case! I barely even noticed the last panel, but it is a lot less detailed.
