I never watched that show, but my impression was that it didn't do the "match the character's appearance to their voice actor's appearance" thing. Gargoyles did it at times. I'm not sure about Steven Universe. (To be clear, I don't consider Garnet a black character, but I wouldn't argue with someone who did. Black and queer isn't a common combination on TV, and folks take what representation they get.)
