I'm not going to say he deserved it. No one deserves to be raped. But you don't see how on the morality scale what he did is worse than what she did? What she did was wrong. It was all kinds of wrong. But that doesn't excuse what he did. Which is much worse. Unless you are one of the people who somehow think that rape is a "fate worse than death"?

I am so confused by this logic. The argument isn't who did the worse thing. The argument is that nothing justifies raping someone.

Just like getting drunk and naked does not justify rape, nor does being an asshole. Especially considering in superhero worlds where beating the shit out of other people is like...just a normal Monday.

I wouldn't say "nothing". I think rape justifies rape. I haven't read this storyline, but if Woleverine committed sexualized violence against Mystique, as some nonnies say, then as the victim she had the right to get back at him in a similar way. Eye for na eye.

I'm still waiting for your answer about Katniss' punishment for murdering Coin, by the way. Certainly getting to live a long happy life with Peeta is too good for such a reprehensible person who believes in an eye for an eye garbage.

You ever heard of being the bigger man (or in this case, woman)? No matter how badly someone treats you, there is no reason to treat them as bad or worse. None. Ever. The moment you do, you are them.

In that case I guess you're against prisons, and especially death penalty. Imprisoning people is horrible and nothing justifies it, as is murder.

You do realize that a very large portion of the population doesn't believe in the death penalty, right? Especially in the west outside America? And that many prisons (again, in the west outside America) are focussed on rehabilitation rather than punishment? So yeah, I (along with most of my country) am against non-rehabilitation-based imprisonment and very much against the death penalty.

I am in the west outside America and I, along with most of my country, am definitely pro-death penalty for especially awful criminals. You know who isn't? Norway. You know what that means? Breivik, who murdered over a 100 CHILDREN is going to walk free in 21 years. Wanna guess what will be the first thing he does after coming out? Spit in the face of all those sweet, forgiving, bigger men and women. Because some people are beyond redemption and don't give two shits how kind and brave, and forgivng you are. They thrive on it.
