More rapey? How? Kilgrave's entire power-set is basically one giant rape metaphor anyway and she was actually raped by him for the show's canon as well, we just never saw it which frankly I'm grateful for.

Exactly, he takes control of people and makes them do things (often horrible things) they don't want to. It's bad enough as is.

I guess I feel like they kind of chickened out in not showing any sort of flashbacks. I don't like sexualized rape scenes, but there are ways to film a rape scene without making is sexy or objectifying.

I'm going to disagree with that I'm afraid. I actually like that the only sex scenes we got in the show were ones between consenting partners. For me he was already horrifying enough going around commanding people at will, I didn't need to see that in a sexual context too.

I completely agree with you. I liked that we only saw the consensual sex and didn't have to see any rape scenes, which make me really uncomfortable.
