I don't know, to me Kilgrave feels like one of the most disturbing yet realistic villains in television and he's done plenty that left me distressed and upset. His actions are awful enough without showing the actual rape; we didn't need that to realize how much of a threat he was, or to see he was a monster.

Frankly, I was glad to not see it. (There's plenty of other shows that don't mind showing rape, so not having to watch it for once was a relief.)
