Buying a gift!

Advice for people looking for gifts.

Pokemon glasses

(Anonymous) 2015-11-28 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
Buying a gift for a pokemon fan. I am getting him something to drink out of because it relates to other gifts (some coasters and some ice cube trays).

Which would be better?

Charmander is his fav. I like the idea of a pint glass but not a huge fan of how the Charmander looks.

GO WITH THE MUG

If it was a different game, like... idfk Metroid II, I'd get that mug for myself.

I thought the mug was very cute at least! I agree with you that the Charmander didn't look that good in the other.

Cookie Gifts?

(Anonymous) 2015-11-28 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
So this year I'm planning to make and give cookies to my relatives because I'm too broke to buy presents. My best recipe is a chocolate chip one that nearly everyone likes, but I'm not sure if I should just give chocolate chip cookies or have a variety. If I go with a variety, how many different kinds should I make? I'm also not sure about gifting the cookies in bags or in plastic containers. I like the idea of plastic containers because then they can reuse them after the cookies are gone, but I'm concerned about price. Thoughts?

2-3 variety. If you can afford it, get the containers. If not, nice gift bags.

I don't know where you are, but the 'Everything for One Dollar' store near me (Dollar Tree, i think?) has really neat seasonal tins *and* plastic containers all for, you guessed it, one dollar. They have a huge variety of colors/designs/shapes, so if you have something like that near you, I'd try there. They also have decorative 'goodie bags', usually clear plastic bags with holiday designs printed on, and 'fancy' twist ties. Or you could get fluffy pipe cleaners in holiday colors....

Good luck!

If you already have a good recipe for chocolate chip, people aren't going to be offended if you just give them like a dozen chocolate chip cookies. However, you may want to discreetly inquire if individual recipients like chocolate (if everyone has eaten these cookies before, then never mind). If you feel like having a variety, then maybe keep to kinds of cookies that are widely liked, like holiday-colored sugar cookies or maybe snickerdoodles, but only if you want too.
