I don't really see much of a worthwhile distinction between being judged harshly and being on the receiving end of negative buzz. You're kind of saying that men are judged just as harshly... but women get more negative public attention. Uh, that's the same level at all then, is it? If me and my male neighbor both do something shitty like let our dogs shit on the sidewalk without picking it up but everyone singles me out for public criticism, then we're NOT being judged equally harshly.
