my problem isn't that it's racist, it's that people are denying that it's racist. people on /b/ know that they say a lot of racist shit, but they do it because it's /b/ and shock value is king. if you deny the racism, it loses its shock value, this negating the entire point of /b/.

i don't need to be taken seriously by the tards at a comm like fs. i just want people to be educated about the memes they are laughing about, not telling them to stop laughing. if you are laughing at something and don't get 'why' then the meme dies.

if someone doesn't see racism in that meme (whether they think it is subversive or satire or not), or how it could be considered offensive, they are seriously too dumb to be on the internet.

Not going OMG NOT RACIST, but uh, a lot of people in other places have no idea about blackface. Australians didn't have a huge exposure to that sort of thing, and many young people just have no idea what it is. (I was at a party once where someone tried to explain their SHOOP t-shirt. Then they had to explain what blackface was. Then they had to explain what minstrel shows were. Not one person knew what the hell he was talking about. Aaaawkwarrrrd.)

Not all places will have equal knowledge of America's history. Just sayin'.
