They are a pretty awesome family!

Nah they're definitely family goals

I love the offpsring I have, but I would have adored having a daughter like Louise.

NGL, I have a family very like this and it is awesome. Although we sometimes have problems because my sister is a Tina with some Louise and I'm a Louise with some Gene. And you don't pair Louises without something violent happening at least once in a while.

I really wish I could get into this show because everyone goes on about how good these characters are. But the humour in the first episode (especially the gross-out stuff) just really put me off. Is it one of those shows that gets a lot better after the pilot or is that pretty much the show?

I personally think it got better, though I think it didn't reach the "it got good" part until the latter episodes of season one. And it's only in season two where it gets amazing.

Course, I'm also super biased because Bob's Burger is legitimately my favorite show right now.

yeah season 2 is where it really starts flying, i don't really love the first couple episodes of season one. but it gets so great.

fwiw, I didn't like the first episode of this show (or Archer for that matter) either, but later episodes clicked and I came to really enjoy it.

TBH I think it's a bad idea to judge a show by its pilot. I've seen some pretty terrible pilots for shows that greatly improved after. If I'd judged SU (and Adventure Time) by the pilot I never would have touched either again. Since it's a 20-ish minute show, I'd watch the first four or five episodes. It definitely gets better as it goes.

As someone who HATED the pilot, I converted to adoring the show after watching a few more episodes.

I wish Bob were my dad

Mostly because I didn't have one

I'm sorry.

OT, but...

Does anyone relate to a particular character? I feel like I'm totally Linda because I'm outgoing, flamboyant, and have an absurd obsession with drama.
