I adore her as Companion but can't really re-watch most of her episodes because Ten's moping gets on my nerves.

THIS.

It threw me the first time too, because due to watching Torchwood and trying to figure out some timey wimey things (if you will), I actually saw the last three or four Martha episodes first, when she was badass. So seeing her as originally pining over the Doctor... really didn't work for me, even if she was great in other ways.
