Shit, I didn't even catch that, haha. (I've done it once or twice in tumblr tags and I can't even tell you why. I think because I'm seeing it so much in gif-sets that it kind of wants to work its way into my daily life.)

Two words do not need abbreviating though. (BUT, again, I abbreviate 'idk' and THREE words don't exactly need it either, so either way I am guilty of something.)

Yeah, but IDK is a complete statement/sentiment/clause. AF bothers me because it's randomly chopping two words off the end of a sentence.

Hmm, that's a fair point! If you have a complete sentence with just the words 'as fuck' abbreviated at the end it's going to look unnatural (are people using it that way? I haven't noticed), but if it's something like a short tumblr tag ('hot af'), that I don't mind.
