Hmm I always think that one of the things people who talk about shipping in psych (or scrubs for that matter) underestimate is how little anyone liked Shawn (or Jd) it was all about the angsty and snarky guy and whatever convenient foil there was to fix him. Sort of ties into racism as well since black guys are never the angsty snarky guys for some reason.

Lassie is not snarky. He is maybe angsty, but he's not snarky.

Also I think Shawn is very likable, but I couldn't say how fandom as a whole feels.
