Boyd Crowder and his silver tongue. He was SUCH an enjoyable baddie. I really loved him and Ava together, and while I understood her reasons for getting away from him, I kinda missed their king and queen of the Harlan underworld aesthetic in the last couple of seasons.

Oooh, he was a great character. I still need to watch the last season, but Boyd kind of made the series for me. He was one of the most enjoyable aspects.

It's amazing to think that he was supposed to die in the pilot episode, but they liked him so much that they resurrected him. I can't imagine the show without him.

I shipped them really hard because their relationship was written in such a convincing, organic way, but I agree that he was kind of out of her league (I adore Ava, don't get me wrong, she's clever and she's tough, but Boyd is, well, Boyd). And yet he adored her and she was really his biggest weak spot, and I absolutely loved that. Their relationship was one of my favourite things about the show.

That and Boyd is one of the most intriguing characters I've ever seen on TV. Every line he ever uttered was brilliant.

BOYD WAS THE BEST i feel like the writers just had a blast with his dialogue and he had a blast delivering it. such a highlight of the show

Tbh I often feel like the writers had a blast with every single line of dialogue they wrote for this show and all the actors had a blast delivering it. The dialogues are so consistently great on this show.

+1 to this. Especially Tim Gutterson, athough I think I might be biased there because he's my fave.

Boyd was one of the best characters ever on TV, on the best show hardly anyone watched.

I loved this show, and miss it. Brilliantly written.

That's some nearly Clockwork Orange-level mascara there.

Ha!
