Fanwork Secret Santa

In the Fanwork Secret Santa, no money is involved. The idea is to get creative. This Secret Santa is for any and all types of fanwork - even if you can't write or draw, there's plenty of other things that would qualify!

Some examples of types of fanwork:

fanfic/fanart/podfic
essays/ship manifestos
journal themes/icons/gifsets/photosets/photomanips
fanmixes/fanvids
comic strips
fannish holiday cards

And anything else you think of that could fall under "fanwork," feel free to ask for or offer. Remember, this isn't just a fic/art exchange!

General Secret Santa

The General Secret Santa is for monetary gifts, but these are limited to those that can a) be sent anonymously and b) don't require p2p money transactions. Basically anything that can be sent in the form of a transferrable gift code, counts!

Gifts can include games from Steam or GoG, Amazon and Etsy cards (with an attached gift recommendations, or something!), and so on.

The value of General Secret Santa items should be between (or close to) a minimum of $8.00 and a maximum of $15.00 (USD). Please try to stick to this range if you can!

Everyone who wants to participate can sign up for one or both, and both will follow the same structure and timeline. Again, the only difference is in the kind of gifts that each will encompass!


Schedule/Calendar



2nd-6th: Sign-up period
7th: Matchups are determined/sent out
8th-20th: Ten days to find/create a gift! All gifts should be in by December 20th
21st: If gifts are not in, pinch-hitters notified of assignments and have until the 24th to help out
25th: Gifts are sent out to recipients
26th: Response post goes up on FandomSecrets

How do we send in gifts? Art can be attached, and fics can be attached as documents. But some things are more difficult. Specifically, ship manifestos have writing, pictures, and links. I'm not entirely sure how to do this. If I make it a journal post, that reveals my identity.
