I don't know why, but I like the canon names in Origins more than the ones in DA2 and DAI. I used several of the canon names in Origins, but I changed the majority in the other two games.

When I hear the name 'Marian' I think of Robin Hood so that one doesn't work for me, but it isn't a bad name in itself. (Anyway, I don't read female!Hawke fic because tbh I didn't like the voice actress and I could never finish a game because of that.)

'Garret' I kind of like, just...not as much as something else, but I absolutely see why people use it; it's more fitting than certain names.
