Or I could just de-anon. Most of the people who would actually call me out for this secret would do so because of the Booshiness, not the specific content (silly people, thinking it's stupid!), which makes it highly unlikely they would scroll to the end of a massive quote war. In fact, I only know of about four people who would call me on content, and while I talk to them IRL quite often, I don't think they frequent f!s. So I shall take the calculated risk.

*waves* You totally managed to fix a bad day, for the record. :)

Okay, IRL was a bit broad. I only speak to one face-to-face. He's a homophobic dickweed. I don't like him very much. I'm also not quite sure why he likes the Boosh. The other three are multi-faceted internet acquaintances. They're nice, but flock together in a land of anti-ship when it comes to Howard and Vince (oddly enough, one does RPS ship Julian/Noel though).

Actually, most of the fandom is pretty cool about letting people do what they will, at least from what I can tell. Been in it for a couple of months, and only seen two cases of wank. Pretty good in the general scheme of the interweb.

Thanks. In the general scheme of things it wasn't like there was death or anything. Just a long day at work with many uncontrollable screaming children. Boosh quotes were just thing thing for tension relief. ;)

I teach English in Japan. First graders today. Joy.


Hmmmm....*gets a little party hat and streamers* WELCOME!

It's a cool fandom. There are some scary Noel Fielding stalker-types, but that's about all in terms of frightening subsets, and a LOT of non-frightening fun people. After a major Boosh marathon, I posted to the comm calmallamadown that there should be a "you know you watch too much Boosh" list, expecting that maybe one or two people would play along. Four days later, and there are over 100 items on the list, from over 40 people.

Kind of expected that the usual scaries would be the ones who make it so we cannot have nice things. lol Otherwise, many of the other fans I've witnessed have been really fun.

English in Japan? NEAT! I'm learning Japanese in college right now. D:

I learned Japanese in America (not very well, mind you. I can order a salad without tomatoes in a restaurant and get directions to the park. That's about all) and now I teach English in Japan. JET programme. Fun thing. >_>

Everyone should have a futuristic prostitute of their own. The world would be a much better place.

JET is oddly varied, so it's hard to make a call on whether it's "hectic" or not. Some JETs do nothing, some work their asses off. I sort of do both. I'm in elementary, which means I'm the sole English teacher in the school, and I have to make my own curriculum. I also teach between 16 and 25 classes each week (and on the 25-class weeks, want to die by Friday). But I get all weekends and school vacations off, the latter is not promised. I adore my job to pieces and am going to be extremely sad when my contract runs out (which, I should say, is not for another 17 months)

Finish off season 1! It's probably my favorite of the three, and the characterizations are actually quite different between the seasons - another reason IC fic is sort of hard. >_>

I think part of it is just that some things are better when you CAN'T see them. And some are quite stupid when you can't. And a lot of those ideas made it into the live, it seems.

As cliche as it sounds, I think I like them both for what they are. I haven't listened to the radio Mutants yet, though. I'm a bit dubious, since that was, without a doubt, my least-favorite TV episode.

I must say that I find a bad prawn more entertaining than a bad bear (re: Hitcher), though. Not sure why they changed that one.

Yeah, I agree!

I'm with you on TV Mutants, but I like radio mutants - the plot's quite a bit different. And I think they switched to Ivan the Russian hairy man from Tony the prawn just because Tony's killer black stare would be hard to capture on tv because, well, he's a tiny prawn! XD

So, no luck with the fic-hunt either, huh? Curses, I'll have to keep looking.

I'm listening to the interview off the drama CDs now. Perhaps I shall give Mutants a try afterwards, while I'm doing the dishes.

Yeaaah, fic hunt was a bit of a failure. I went looking, was scarred, and went to hide in a corner for a while. It'll be a while before I get the guts to try again. Tell me if you find something! ;)
