It also doesn't help that Josh Hutcherson is like 5'2'' and Jennifer Lawrence is not.

Why does that make a difference?

He's 5'7''.

She's 5'9''.

OMG, HOW CAN WE HANDLE THIS.

WITH HIGH HEELS AND PLATFORM SHOES THAT HAVE FISH IN THEM.

He's 5'7''

On an alternate universe.

He's 5'4'' max, and I'm being generous.

Well then, you'd better WASH THE LIES out of his IMDB page.

I don't know why but I don't find this guy attractive at all. Totally the lesser Hemsworth.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-05 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
OMG LOL THAT'S WHAT I CALL HIM! Sorry the capslock. I got a bit too excited.

"Lesser Hemsworth" is nowhere near like saying Lesser Quaid, tho. He's still gorgeous.

He's the lesser Hemsworth but still attractive to me. It is just that his brother can't be beat.

The oldest brother is definitely the least attractive. Not Chris, there's another one who's an actor too, though not globally successful.

I thought movie!Gale was kinda bland.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-05 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
Honestly, I think it would have been better if she ended up with no one, plotwise, in the movie.

Yeah. I just didn't see it in the movie. Honestly she's at a point she's so damn traumatized a relationship doesn't even seems like something that would be on her priority list.

I still haven't read the final book (or seen the last two films, oops) so my mind could change (though I've been spoiled pretty hardcore), but in the first two (books) I definitely felt that way. I liked Peeta, I even thought Katniss/Gale was pretty cute, but none of the pairings connected enough for me to want them to be canon. It felt out of place as well.

I don't think it's worse in the films, but I certainly don't think it's better either.

(On a purely aesthetic level, I'm pretty neutral. Baby Thor is hot, but Peeta bread is adorable. Either is a fine choice.)

On the other side of the coin, they didn't sell the transformation from brainwashed assassin to loving husband in the movie. The book barely sold it either.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-06 07:45 am (UTC)(link)
Yes! Books and movies- the idea that she actually ends up (pretty promptly) with either of them seems... shoe-horned.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-05 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
I just can't get past how ugly Peeta is.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-05 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, I kind of agree. But I never really felt that Josh Hutcherson fit the character of Peeta in the first place.
