Came here to say this. I'd heard of breathplay before I saw the show. I guess it's rare, but it's hardly unknown.

Choking, I guess?

I've seen plenty of people basically insist that all women "need" to be choked, and that guys should just do it without asking. Terrifies me, as someone with a fear of being choked.

WHAT? I mean, I enjoy some breathplay, but it's not something that should ever be attempted without everyone being into it.

"All women need to be choked"? No we don't. Choking is one of the least sexy things I can imagine, especially since I hate things even TOUCHING my throat. I've seen this idiocy being bandied about too and it pisses me off that people are blathering about a POTENTIALLY VERY DANGEROUS kink as something casual that EVERYONE is totes into and you shouldn't bother asking first or else she'll get turned off.

yeah you aren't kidding

I'm happier and happier to be in a committed relationship with my vibrator.

HA!

(Anonymous) 2015-12-05 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
Uhhhhhhh, yeah, whoever thinks that is a massive idiot. I have absolutely no desire to do breath play. It creeps me out and I'd be horrified if a guy I was with just suddenly sprang that on me.

If that's other people's kink and something they WANT to do, fine, whatever. YKINMK and all that. But there does need to be clear consent on both sides for that, no question.

That is one of the dumbest things I've ever read, and I've read some dumb shit.

I read that in Iron Bull's voice, and it was very in-character.
