GoodL I got a Kitchenaid Stand mixer!

Bad: I got several orders wrong at work. :(

OMG Congrats on the stand mixer! I was an anon who wished you the best to one day get one, so I'm happy to hear you got one. What color is your stand mixer? Have you used it yet?

It is classic red and I have not. It was a complete shock when I opened by package. My Secret Santa (someone I never met) got it for me. It was the professional one as well! I can't wait to bake this weekend.

That is such a nice thing for them to do! I hope you have fun using it. Also, you should go buy a cover for your stand mixer, so that when it's not in use things don't splatter onto it or get it dirty. I'm currently using a plastic grocery bag to cover mine. LOL Wal-Mart's covers are plain but the price doesn't justify a purchase, but on the flip side, looking online hasn't been ideal either. I'm testing out my sewing skills, so I might just make my own cover. Anyway, that's something to think about that I didn't think about until a couple months after I purchased my stand mixer.

My sister might be getting me a cover for Christmas. At least, I hope she does!

Yaaaaay for the stand mixer!

Very yay!

Good thing: made a first time visit to a really cool tea house in a trendy city! The tea was great, the food was good but not great, and we got to sit right next to a koi pond. It was so much fun.

Bad thing: pretty sure my best friend got mad at me today. He kept trying to get me talking to him via texts and posts on FB, but I ignored him. It's an extension of this past week with him. Long story. Tl; dr my best friend pissed me off so I ignored him so we're both pissed off at each other right now.

Good thing: work was really busy so it went super fast!

Bad thing: I have to do laundry and it's cold outside. :(

Yay! I love fast work days.

Sorry about the weather, and I feel you with the laundry. I have to fold mine.

Good: met up with a friend who now lives mostly abroad and there were also some other people I like there.

Bad: I was utterly unproductive except writing a future chapter for a really long fic I'm not sure anyone even cares about.

The weather was unexpectedly nice so I went on a long walk with the cats.
My father has the flu or something like it and since basic hygiene seems to be a foreign concept to him, we'll all have that to look forward to as well. :/

Good Thing: The first paycheck from my second job came through and I got paid $1500. (They only pay you once a month.)
Bad Thing: I got a rejection email from a job I actually really wanted. (Not enough experience, I know, I know.)

Good: delicious squash soup and turkey cranberry flatbread at Panera, sitting next to the glass heart with the gas logs. I look forward so much to that fire being lit in the fall!

Bad: I made six slides of mold prep and every single time saw the same thing under the scope: dense mats of hyphae (too dense to make out much detail), lots and lots of spores floating around...no reproductive structures by which I could ID the fungus. TA is no help at all and talks down to me.

Good thing: sleep
Bad thing: I burned my back with a heating pad a couple days ago. I still have nasty blisters and pain.

Good: I worked out today for the first time in probably 15 years (though I get a lot of exercise already through work, I'm currently on break for a few months and thought I should keep up the muscles so I'm not totally useless when I get back)

Bad: Hours later I'm still super shaky and my limbs feel weak

Bad- My neck was still stiff and sore during work.

Good- It's almost better!

Good thing: my horse Sharif's 23rd birthday was ~~today~~ yesterday and I actually managed to make it out to see him on the day itself for a change. As usual, he was a total sweetie and just ate up all the extra attention (and treats). ♥

Bad thing: my back pain has been terrible today.
