The criticism I've read about early feminism was that they ignored the plight of WoC (which, to contextualize things a little, is something that was also done by anti-racist movements of the time) and that it focused mostly on the needs of upper class women, which again was also true for a lot of movements of the time. So really, there were no worse or better than any other group of activists from their time.
