I've seen it. Tends to go hand in hand with anti-Semitism a lot of the time. Heard a disturbing number of hardcore left-wingers express sentiments along the lines of, "Well, I don't usually support terrorism, but that particular terrorist act was totally justified because it happened in Israel and we need to end Israeli oppression!!!"

Which is code for: I only give a shit about terrorism when it affects people in the West, and Jewish lives are unimportant.

Having said that, conflating Islamist ideology with Muslims as a whole is Islamophobic as fuck, and I do hope that isn't what the OP of this thread is implying, though I wouldn't be surprised with it was.

I guess maybe the reason I haven't seen this is I'm not directly involved in a lot of Israel/Palestine conflict discussions...
